1. Expected conduct
Momentum Gym should be safe and respectful. Harassment, violence, threats, intimidation, discrimination, sexual comments, non-consensual contact, stalking, humiliation, invasive recording and retaliation are not tolerated. This applies to members, guests, staff, contractors and related digital communications.
Race, origin, nationality, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion and other protected characteristics are respected. Reasonable adjustments and accessible communication form part of the response.
2. Getting help or reporting
For immediate danger call 112 and alert staff. For other concerns, speak to reception or email reception@momentumgym.org. The affected person or a witness can report; confronting the reported person first is not required.
Share only what you can: what happened, when, where, people involved, witnesses, current risk and support needed. A perfect account is not required. Momentum protects confidentiality as far as compatible with safety, fair investigation and legal duties.
3. Response and measures
Immediate safety comes first: separation, accompaniment, safe exit, evidence preservation and emergency or authority contact where appropriate. A fair assessment follows, with an opportunity to respond, unnecessary contact avoided and a proportionate decision recorded.
Measures can include conduct instructions, schedule adjustment, precautionary suspension, access removal, official-complaint support or lawful contract termination. Absolute secrecy or a predetermined outcome cannot be promised.
4. Children and vulnerable people
Admission of minors remains conditional on a business and legal decision, verifiable guardian authority and a specific protocol for supervision, changing areas, messaging, transport, one-to-one contact, personnel and escalation. A generic checkbox is not enough to activate a minor flow.
Where harm is suspected, the interests and safety of the child or vulnerable person take priority. Protective action does not wait for an internal process to finish and is referred to competent services where required.
5. Privacy and non-retaliation
Reports are used to protect, investigate, meet duties and handle claims, with limited access and retention. Deliberately false allegations may be addressed, but a good-faith concern is not punished because it is not substantiated.
Retaliation against someone reporting, participating, supporting or requesting an adjustment is prohibited. Concerns about Momentum’s response can be escalated through the complaints route or competent authorities.
